Literature for 3rd-4th

The goal this year is to make your child fall in love with books! Students will be introduced to a selection of both modern and classic literature. The classroom will come alive with fun projects that directly correlate with the reading.

We will read 3-4 award-winning books. With each book we will discuss a variety of literary elements, such as point of view, characterization, theme, and symbolism. Guided weekly discussions will exercise students critical thinking and comprehension skills. By the end of the year, I hope to have cultivated in them a greater delight of reading.
