Health Safety Guidelines
FOR EVERYONE'S HEALTH AND SAFETY
Communicable Disease Safety and Health Guidelines
- Use of a face-covering mask is neither mandatory nor expected.
- Distancing is neither mandatory nor feasible in most cases in interactive lab scenario and gym.
- If a CHSEL participant has fever, upper respiratory symptoms, or exhibits symptoms of any communicable disease, we will require the parent/guardian to remove him/her from premises and refrain from lab attendance until all symptoms have subsided for no less than a period of 24 hours.
- Out of consideration for others and our entire group, CHSEL participants are asked to refrain from attendance for the period of time recommended by their health physician following the onset of symptoms for which a positive test for a any communicable disease is received OR 24 hours following the cessation of symptoms after a positive test, whichever is greater.
- Please be considerate and guard the health of others in any scenario in which you may have been exposed to any communicable disease that could affect members of CHSEL by your or your child's attendance.
CHSEL/STEP assumes no responsibility in verifying illnesses or requiring testing for bacterial or viral contagions. We will take precautions to prevent the spread of illnesses that may be indicated by fever, cough or other clear symptoms with the guidelines above, but rely on each member's care and concern for others by not attending labs in the event he/she or a household member is ill with any contagion.
