Literature

Students will be exposed to and develop an appreciation for a wide range of classic literature.  While reading assignments will be graded, most of the students’ grades will be project and discussion based, rather than through written tests.  Together they will study the background of the authors, their motivations, and the environment which influenced their writing.  Books under consideration:  The Iliad by Homer, A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Animal Farm by George Orwell, and The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom.
